about kristi
I always felt as if the theatre was a place where I could love people right where they were and let the love of Jesus flow through me. I wrote my thesis on how I felt God was calling me to be “salt and light” in the theatre community. During the last 33 years I have had the opportunity to work as a professional actress, teach thousands of students, and go back to graduate school to receive certification as a Graduate Laban - Certified Movement Analyst.
As I am entering my 29th year as a professor at Columbia College Chicago I feel there is a different call on my life. I am moving from helping my students empathetically embody characters in theatre to helping speakers understand their physical preferences, expand their movement vocabulary and make a greater impact in their field.
I am married to Eric and we have three amazing children, Sadie, Dillon, and Anna, a wonderful son-in-law, and delightful daughter-in-law. We love living in Naperville, Illinois.
